An American by nationality, Tobin Heath is a professional soccer player who is currently playing professionally for the Portland Thorns FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and the United States Women’s National Soccer Team.

Prior to that, Tobin is a two times Olympic Gold Medalist and she is also a FIFA Women’s World Cup winner as well as a finalist with the US Women’s National Soccer Team.

Tobin Heath is originally from Basking Ridge, New Jersey, USA. She came into this world on 29th May of the year 1988 which has now made her reach at the age of 30. Heath was born one among the 4 children to her parents Jeff Heath and Cindy Heath.

Additionally, she also has two elder sisters named Perry and Katie and a younger brother Jeffrey. Tobin started to play soccer when she was just 4 years old. She played soccer in the back of a YMCA and had described herself as a proud and devout follower of the Christian faith.

Growing up, Tobin went to get her education from the Ridge High School from where she graduated in 2006. During her tenure there, she used to play soccer in the first three years. Heath also played for the PDA Wildcats Team which won the 2003 Club National Championship.

After that, Heath went to get enrolled at the University of North Carolina. Not playing soccer in her senior year, Heath decided to train with boys. As a sophomore, she scored 2 goals assisting another 5 and was also named to First0team NSCAA All-American and First-Team All-ACC.

Tobin Heath: professional life and career

Tobin started her career with the New Jersey Wildcats in the year 2004-05, the Hudson Valley Quickstrike Lady Blues and Pali Blues. Later, she moved to professional soccer in Women’s Professional Soccer League spending a season in 2010 with Atlanta Beat.

Tobin had also spent a season each with Sky Blue FC and New York Fury. For the 2013-14 seasons, she moved to France with Paris Saint-German before she headed to her current club when NWSL was established.

Tobin made her first international debut for a senior team on 18th January 2008 against Finland. Despite being the youngest player, she won her 1st Olympic gold medal. The following year, Heath was named US Soccer Young Athlete of the Year Female.

Heath has played in numbers of national and international games scoring goals for her team and the country. Additionally, she also became a first women player who was featured in the EA Sports’ FIFA Video Game series in FIFA 16.
