Ted Arthur Haggard aka Ted Haggard was born on June 27, 1956, in Yorktown, Indiana. He is a person who believes that there is one God and humans were created to be with him. J.M.Haggard and Rachel Haggard were his parents. His father was a practicing veterinarian in Indiana itself. Father Haggard founded an international ministry that was featured in a documentary series.
When in high school, Ted published frank articles as a co-editor which described services that were available to prevent and deal with increasingly prevalent pregnancies and STDs. Ted took an undergraduate degree in telecommunication as a major and journalism as a minor. Ted said that he felt the call of God when he was in his house during his first year of college. And, after that experience, he thought of being a pastor. So, in 1978, Ted graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Ted and Gayle were married in 1978. They are blessed with five children. Christy is the eldest while Elliott is the youngest of them all. Their second child Marcus is the former pastor and also the founder of Boulder Street Church. Jonathan and Alex, the other two children were born in 1987 and 1990 subsequently.

Ted Haggard: Professional Life, Career
Professionally, Haggard is an Evangelical Christian pastor who is living in America. He is also a founder of the Association of Life-Giving Churches and the former pastor and founder of the New Life Church located in Colorado. The Association of Life-Giving Church was formed by the New Life Church under Ted's leadership.
In 2006, Ted resigned from his post at the New Life Church after being claimed of having sexual relation with a male prostitute and of using drugs. The same Haggard who had problems with the same sex marriage was pointed out for paying Mike Jones for sex. Mike Jones also stated that Ted purchased and used a drug named crystal methamphetamine. Haggard denied the allegations for a long time. Then, he finally admitted to having purchased crystal methamphetamine but not using it. Ted threw it away without taking it. After the allegation was known to the public, Ted resigned from New Life Church and stopped doing all the other leadership roles.
Later, Ted admitted all the allegation that was charged on him. Not only with Mike, Ted also had a physical relationship with a man who went to New Life Church.
Talking about his television appearance, Ted has appeared on several programs and documentaries. He was seen in 20/20 of ABC, Dateline NBC, Jesus Camp, The Antichrist, Constantine's Sword. He made an appearance in Friends of God: A Road Trip With Alexandra Pelosi. Pelosi also made a film about Haggard's life in 2009. The name of the movie is The Trails Of Ted Haggard. The film is about Ted's life in exile after the scandal. The film has been shown on HBO for more than 40 times.
Haggard also threatened evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins of throwing him in jail during an interview for the documentary: The Root Of All Evil.
