Tara's career started when she joined Channel Seven. Shortly after, she switched to work on Nightline and A Current Affair in 1993 on Channel Nine. She had a lot of memorable stories for 'A Current Affair' that included a series of reports on: how a group of Australian soldiers returned to Vietnam, how they uncovered a tyre dumping racket, and a feature story on refugees in Bei Hai in southern China.
Brown started working as a reporter on Nine Network's program called 60 Minutes in 2001, and has been there for 17 years now.
