A Rhode Island lady Shaylyn Moran with an objective tattoo on her cheek has been imprisoned for life for the homicide of her ex's mom who was shot dead by her new life partner on New Year's Day 2019.

Shaylyn Moran, 20, was imprisoned Thursday for arranging with her life partner Jack Doherty, 25, to kill Cheryl Smith, 54, at their home on New Years Day. Moran and Doherty had quite recently gotten ready for marriage and he was visiting her. 

She persuaded him to kill Smith, her ex's mom, and he did the homicide with a weapon that police said at the time took after one Doherty professed to have made with a 3D printer. 

He had boasted about the weapon via online media. 

Moran dated Smith's child Leonard Troufield prior to meeting her life partner. The couple split on charges of aggressive behavior at home on the two sides.

Moran and Troufield had possibly been together for four days when they met in the fall of 2019, only months before the homicide.
