Mikaela started off as a model by participating in Nor-Am Cup super-combined race in December 2010 at Panorama in British Columbia and winning it. A year later, she first made her World Cup debut on March 11, 2011.
She earned the title of the youngest American ski racer to claim a national alpine crown when she won the slalom title at the US National Championships at Winter Park, Colorado. At age 17, she bagged a first winning title from the World Cup Series in December 2012. Her career began to rise on the successful ladder after that. She earned two other wins within the span of a month.
Similarly, Mikaela has won a gold medal in 2017 World Championship and 2015 Beaver Creek as well as won a silver medal at Giant Slalom in 2017.
