Matthew Kenneth Rhule (conceived January 31, 1975) is an American football trainer and previous player. He is the head football trainer at Baylor University. He was already the mentor of Temple University where he drove the Owls to consecutive 10-win seasons without precedent for the school's history.

Early years

Rhule experienced childhood in New York City before his family moved to State College, Pennsylvania as a young person. Rhule played linebacker at State College Area High School before strolling on as a linebacker to Penn State. At Penn State, Rhule played four years under Joe Paterno and was a three-time Penn State Scholar-Athlete and an Academic All-Big Ten honoree in 1997. While at Penn State, Rhule got his Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science. He additionally holds a Master's in Educational Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Instructing profession

Associate training

Following the finish of his playing vocation, Rhule was contracted as the linebackers mentor for Albright College. Following one year at Albright, Rhule had stops at Buffalo, UCLA and Western Carolina before being employed at Temple as a protective line mentor in 2006. Rhule would change to quarterbacks mentor in 2007 preceding being named Temple's hostile facilitator in 2008.

New York Giants

Following six years at Temple, Rhule joined Tom Coughlin's New York Giants as the associate hostile line mentor. With the Giants, Rhule instructed Super Bowl champions like David Diehl, Kevin Boothe, and Chris Snee.

Sanctuary

On December 17, 2012, Rhule was named the 26th head football trainer at Temple, succeeding Steve Addazio who left to turn into the lead trainer at Boston College.
