A multi-talented Jentezen Franklin was born as one of the five children to his parents Billy Franklin and Katie Franklin. He came into this world on 21st July of 1962 and he has now reached at the age of 56. He is the native of Wilson, North Carolina, Unites States of America. In 1991, his father died and his mother remained involved at the Free Chapel actively.

Jentezen’s siblings include his two elder brothers named Doyle and Richie and two younger sisters named Jennifer and Jill. His brother Richie died on 1st December 2012.

Jentezen Franklin: professional life and career

During his early career, Franklin traveled along with his elder brother Richie as an evangelistic team. He also joined Atlantic Christian College where he studied tenor saxophone. On the way to his career in music as a saxophone player, he became an evangelist. He was formally installed as a pastor of Free Chapel after the senior pastor, Roy Wellborn died in 1989.

Later in 2004, the church moved to its present location which has an auditorium of 3000 seats. He opened the 2nd Free Chapel Church in 2007 in Irvine, California. He again expanded the Free Chapel in 2014 and opened a Gwinnett Church in Suwanee, Georgia. Again in 2016, Franklin expanded it to South Carolina. His other campuses include Buford, Cumming, Gwinnett County, Midtown Atlanta, and The Chapel on McEver.
