Glenn Jeffery posted on Facebook: "It is with extraordinary trouble that I want to tell you we lost our adored child Jack yesterday."

'Wonderful record'

A banner was flown at half-pole at Evesham Rugby Club as a characteristic of regard for the "incredibly famous player", Mr. Summerfield said.

He said the mishap had "impacted the players extraordinarily", adding: "As a club, we have been overpowered by the messages of help and altruism from the rugby local area.

"Jack was quiet, regarded, and exceptionally considered. Our club and the local area have lost such a brilliant light."

An assertion on the club's site said Mr. Jeffery, who lived in London, was "adding one more attempt to his amazing record" and was harmed in a mishap on the pitch as he scored.

"He would frequently get back from London for preparing and was generally at the core of club exercises," it added.

"He served his club, his colleagues, and the area with unique excellence and gave a lot of fulfillment to the club allies in knowing precisely where the whitewash [try line] was."

Prevalence side Worcester Warriors tweeted a message of sympathy to his family, companions, and colleagues.

The Rugby Football Union said in a tweet it broadened its "genuine feelings" to the loved ones of the player.

"The contemplations of everybody in the game are with Evesham Rugby Football Club, their players, individuals, and the more extensive rugby local area," it added.

Nigel Huddleson, Conservative MP for Mid Worcestershire, tweeted: "My most profound feelings go to his family, companions, and partners. The overflowing of messages shows how amazingly famous he was."

Evesham said thanks to every individual who had upheld Mr. Jeffery "in his snapshot of need" and for the messages of help got from different clubs.
