Sean Randall Parnell (born on November 19, 1962) is an American lawyer and government official. He succeeded Sarah Palin in July 2009 to turn into the 10th legislative leader of Alaska and served until 2014.

Parnell was chosen lead representative by his own doing in 2010 with 59.06% of the vote, as the biggest rate edge of any Alaska lead representative since statehood.

In 2014, he barely lost his bid for re-appointment and has since gotten back to work in the private area. He is an individual from the Republican Party. 

Sean Parnell was chosen on May 12, 2021, to fill in as chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage viable June 12, 2021. 

Born in Hanford, California, Parnell is an alum from the University of Puget Sound's School of Law (presently known as Seattle University School of Law).

He specialized in legal matters before being chosen for the Alaska House of Representatives in 1992 and he kept on working in private lawful practice while he was an individual from the Alaska House and later, the Alaska Senate.

He served two terms in the Alaska House from 1993 to 1997 preceding he was chosen for one term in the Alaska Senate from 1997 to 2001.

Parnell proceeded with his lawful profession in the private area, filling in as a lawyer and as the state government relations chief for Phillips Petroleum, presently known as ConocoPhillips, and a lawyer at the law office Patton Boggs. 

Getting back to public help, Parnell won the Republican essential race for lieutenant lead representative in 2006 and turned into Palin's running mate in her 2006 gubernatorial mission, where the Palin and Parnell ticket crushed previous Democratic lead representative Tony Knowles.

Parnell was confirmed as lieutenant legislative head of Alaska in December 2006 and later accepted the governorship after Palin surrendered in July 2009.

Parnell was chosen for a full term as lead representative in 2010, overcoming previous state delegate Ethan Berkowitz in the overall political decision. Parnell is the first delegated Alaska lead representative to be chosen by his own doing.

He was barely crushed briefly term in 2014 by the "solidarity ticket" of Republican-turned-independent Bill Walker and Democrat Byron Mallott.

Parnell was named to be the following chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage in May 2021. 

Early life and instruction 

Parnell was born in Hanford, California, the senior of two children of Thelma Carol (née Liebherr) and Kevin Patrick "Pat" Parnell.

As kids, Parnell and his more youthful sibling, Schoen (articulated "Shane"), were brought up in an affectionate family. Two of his fatherly incredible grandparents were Norwegian. 

Sean's dad, Pat, was positioned at Fort Richardson, close to Anchorage, Alaska, while he served in the U.S. Armed forces during statehood years (1957–1959), and got back to Alaska with his family in 1973, building up home in Anchorage. Sean Parnell was 10 years of age at that point. 

Parnell's mom functioned as a secondary teacher for more than a quarter-century. She instructed at Bartlett High School and East Anchorage High School, the last close to their home.

Both of Parnell's folks were business visionaries, possessing a retail copy and office supply business together in Anchorage for more than a quarter-century. Parnell worked in the privately-owned company as a young person and during his school years. 

In 1980, Pat Parnell, a Democrat, ran against occupant Don Young for Alaska's sole seat in the United States House of Representatives, taking 25.82% of the vote. 

Parnell moved on from East Anchorage High School in 1980. He acquired a B.B.A. in 1984 from Pacific Lutheran University and a Juris Doctor in 1987 from the University of Puget Sound School of Law (presently known as Seattle University School of Law). 

Individual life 

Parnell wedded his school sweetheart Sandy in 1987 and the couple got back to Anchorage, where Parnell started specializing in legal matters. The Parnells' little girls, Grace and Rachel, were brought up in Anchorage. 

Beauty is an expert picture taker and Rachel is a college understudy seeking after a set of experiences degree. 

In October 2015, Parnell and his significant other Sandy moved their home to Palmer, Alaska, where he got back to functioning as a lawyer in private practice and opened a law office, having some expertise in business law, agreements, and land.
