Bruce Arians is an American by his nationality. He is a former player as well as a football coach who is currently coaching for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of NFL.

Bruce was a head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from the year 2013 to 2017 and he also used to serve as an offensive coordinator for Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bruce Arians is originally from Paterson, New Jersey. He took his first breath in this world on 3rd October of the year 1952 which has now made him reach at the age of 66.

\for his education, Arians went to study at the William Penn High School which is located in York, Pennsylvania. Previous to that, he also attended the York Catholic High School. After completing his high school, Bruce went to get enrolled at the Virginia Tech University.

There, as a senior in 1974, Arians was a starting quarterback in the wishbone offense for Hokies Football Team. He was the first white player ever who shared a dorm room with a black player in the history of Virginia Tech.

Bruce Arians: Career

At the end of the college football season in the year 1988, Bruce was hired as a running backs coach in NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs. After the 2003 season, he was hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the wide receivers coach.

Later in 2007, Bruce was promoted to the offensive coordinator of the Steelers. It is a position that he held until the contract of him expired after the 2011 season. After that, Arians agreed to become an offensive coordinator of Indianapolis Colts on 28th January 2012.

He was later named as the 2012 AP Coach of the Year which made him the first interim head coach who won an award. On 7th January 2013, Bruce and Arizona Cardinals agreed on a 4 years contract which would make Arians their head coach.

He is the 1st Cardinals coach since Norm Barry in 1925 who recorded at least nine wins in the first season. After the 2017 season, Bruce made an announcement about his retirement from coaching.

Recently on 8th January 2019, Bruce has agreed to terms on 4 years deal to come out of his retirement and became the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Prior to that, Arians had also served as a game analyst for NFL on CBS. He joined the CBS Sports on 3rd May of the year 2018. There, Bruce worked with Trent Green and Greg Gumbel.
