Brian Kolfage is originally from Detroit, USA. He has now reached at the age of 37. Brian was grown up in Waikiki, Hawaii.

For his education, Kolfage went to study at the University of Arizona from where he got graduated in the year 2014 with a degree in Architecture. Before his injury, he was right-handed. Despite having to draw with the left hand, Brian still finished among the top of his class.

Brian Kolfage: professional life and career

Brian Kolfage was on his 2nd deployment for the Operation Iraqi Freedom in the year 2004. That same year on 11th September, Brian awoke in the afternoon after working a night shift at the Balad Air Base. He then left the tent t  get some water and had walked not more than 25 feet when the airbase came under the rocket attack.

It would be the last time that Brian would walk on his legs. A 107mm rocket shell exploded about 3 feet from the Airman Kolfage. He was then thrown several feet above the air and landed against the wall of sandbags. During that time, he was still unconscious and later started calling for the help.

Despite suffering from the multiple amputations and the looming possibility of death, Brian still maintained incredible strength as well as courage throughout his recovery at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He had also received a purple heart for his service.

Recently on 16th December 2018, Kolfage began a “GoFundMe page for helping Donald Trump to pay for a wall at the Mexican border. At present, Brian is primarily focused on the motivational speaking work. In the year 2014, he received the George C. Lang Award for the Courage. Besides that, Kolfage is also the founder of the Military Grade Coffee which is a coffee brand that donated 10% of each sale to the veterans.
