Melngailis is originally from Newton, Massachusetts, USA. She took her first breath in this world on10th September of the year 1972 which has now made him reach at the age of 46. Sarma has not revealed anything about her parents and family background.

Sarma Melngailis: Career

Sarma together with her then-boyfriend Matthew Kenney opened Commissary in the year 2001. It was later closed in March of 2003 after which Melngailis consulted for China Grill Management of Jeffrey Chodorow.

Along with Jeffrey and Mathew, she opened “Pure Food and Wine in 2004 as the first upscale raw food restaurant of New York City. It was located in Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan and the restaurant was listed in Top 100 Restaurants of the New York magazines for twice.

Additionally, it was also listed as All Star New York Eateries in Forbes Magazine for five years in a row. A takeaway retail store named One Lucky Duck Juice and Takeaway was attached to a restaurant Pure Food and Wine.

Later in 2005, OneLuckyDuck.com was launched which is an online store for snacks that is prepared and packaged from the restaurant. A 2nd One Lucky Duck location was opened in Chelsea Market of New York City from December 2009 through January of 2015.

Later in 2014, the first location of One Lucky Duck Juice and Takeaway outside of New York City was opened in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
