Right from an early age, after his high school, Robinson was considered as a top 10 player in the class of 2017. Not only that, but he was also taken as consensus 5-star recruit.
After high school, he decided to commit to Texas A&M University for high college basketball career in 2015. However, due to the transfer of coach Rick Stansbury, he rejected the offer from the college and went to Western Kentucky University.
Then, in July 2017, Robinson played as well as received training with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers men’s basketball team. After 2 weeks, he scheduled a trip to Costa Rica. prior to a scheduled team trip to Costa Rica.
Unfortunately, he left the school and his team for the trip abroad. This cost him a suspension from the team. Eventually, he lost the team and was released from it.
After this incident, Robinson toured many colleges for transferring in August 2017 which included the University of Kansas, Louisiana State University and University of New Orleans. But eventually, he had to return to Western Kentucky University.
