Lee Radziwill was originally from New York City, New York, USA. She took her first breath in this world on 3rd March of the year 1933. She was born one among the four children to her parents John Vernou Bouvier III and Janet Norton Lee.

Her other family members also include her two sisters Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Janet Auchincloss Rutherfurd, and a brother named James Lee Auchincloss. Lee’s father was a stockbroker whereas her mother was a socialite.

Lee Radziwill: Marriage

Radziwill had married three times as well as divorced too. She was previously married to her first husband Michael Temple Canfield with whom she exchanged her vows in April of 1953. The two divorced in 1959 but it was annulled in November of 1962 by the Roman Catholic Church.

After that, she remarried with her second husband Prince Stanislaw Albrecht Radziwill. The couple got married on 19th March of the year 1959. Upon marrying a Prince, Lee became Her Serene Highness Princess Caroline Radziwill.

It was in the 1960s when Radziwill attempted to forge her career as an actress. Her attempt in acting was unsuccessful and she received bad reviews in 1967 production of “The Philadelphia Story” starring as a spoiled Main Line heiress Tracy Lord.

After a year, Lee made her appearance in a TV adaptation of a Hollywood movie called Laura that was also received badly. A London townhouse as well as a manor Turville Grange located in Turville which Radziwill shared with her 2nd husband, both of them, were decorated by an Italian stage designer, Lorenzo Mongiardino and it was greatly admired and was frequently photographed by Horst P. Horst and Cecil Beaton.

Lee herself had also worked briefly as an interior designer in the style much influenced by her own association with Mongiardino. The clientele of her was very wealthy. She once decorated a home where the people wouldn’t stay more than 3 days a year.
