John Cochran is an American television personality best known for the television series Survivor: South Pacific and Survivor: Caramoan. Cochran won the 26th season of Survivor and earned the title of "Sole Survivor". Survivor is an American reality show on CBS that first premiered on May 31, 2000. In the show, a group of strangers is placed on an isolated location where they must find food, water, and shelter on their own. The contestants are eliminated through a voting system by fellow contestants until one is named the winner and gets the prize money of one million dollars.

Cochran is a television writer who has worked for American television sitcoms such as The Millers and Kevin Can Wait. In the 15th Anniversary of Survivor, CBS Watch magazine voted Cochran as the seventh greatest player of all time.
