Born in 13^th of November 1957 in Wichita Falls in Texas, Greg’s dad was a stockbroker and insurance agent and his mother was a homemaker. His father had a tragic death from a heath attack when he was in high school.

Greg attended Duncanville High School and he got his bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas in 1981 and his degree in Juris Doctor in 1984 from the Vanderbilt University Law School.

He met his current wife Cecilia during the time at Texas University. The couples have been married for 36 years now since 1981 and have an adopted daughter named Audrey.

At the age of 26, Abbott had a triumph over the tragedy when a large oak tree fell on his back and partially paralyzed him.

Greg is professionally lawyer with a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and also in Doctor of Jurisprudence. He worked for Butler and Binion, LLC from 1984 to 1992. He was also a professor University of Texas School of law.
