This was it. Everything was on the line for Michigan's Genavieve Linkowski and Long Island's Travis Finlay in the second round of Hollywood Week on "American Idol." An incredible presentation would send them through to the last Hollywood week round. Downright that would be the finish of either of their excursions.

Normally the second round of Hollywood week is gatherings. "Symbol" amazed the contenders by uncovering this would be the first historically speaking two-part harmonies week. Linkowski and Finlay picked each other to be accomplices and wound up choosing the amazing song, "The Prayer," by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli.

Before they made that big appearance, "Icon" recounted the tale of Linkowski's catastrophe of her sister, Corinn, who kicked the bucket in an auto accident a year ago. Corinn was by her sister's side in 2018 when Genavieve made it to the last round of Hollywood week before being killed.

"Having her not here this time is extremely hard. She was my accomplice, particularly singing. We generally did it together. Continuously," said Linkowski.

"I don't ordinarily do two-part harmonies any longer since the time my sister passed, yet it would mean such a great amount to me to overcome. I never envisioned accomplishing something like this without her. I simply miss her a great deal and I simply wish she could be with me at the present time."

The adjudicators' choice: After Linkowski and Finlay conveyed their passionate exhibition, every one of the three appointed authorities, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan gave them overwhelming applause before conveying the news on whether they would progress to the last Hollywood week round. "So great. Goodness my God, so great," said Richie directly after the exhibition.

"Travis, I thought you were so acceptable and your decisions were incredible and they were astonishing. Continue settling on extraordinary decisions. Travis, no doubt about it," said Perry.

"Genavieve, you've become such a great amount in two years. However, despite everything need to develop some more. Develop more since that is no joke," Perry advised her.

"I'm feeling the loss of my sister, yet getting this yes implies so much despite the fact that she's not here to see it. In such a case that she was here, I realize she'd be so pleased with me," Linkowski said.
