Andrew Yang (conceived January 13, 1975) is an American lawyer, business person, humanitarian, the originator of Venture for America (VFA) and a U.S. 2020 Democratic presidential up-and-comer. He worked in new businesses and beginning period development organizations as an organizer or official from 2000 to 2009. After he established VFA, the Obama organization chose him in 2012 as a "Victor of Change" and in 2015 as a "Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship".

In November 2017, Yang propelled his battle for the Democratic selection in the 2020 U.S. presidential political decision. His mark issue is support for what he calls the "Opportunity Dividend", a type of Universal Basic Income (UBI) for each American grown-up more than 18 years of age. Yang trusts UBI is an important reaction to the quick advancement of computerization that is prompting workforce challenges.Yang was conceived in Schenectady, New York, to worker guardians from Taiwan.

His folks met while they were both in graduate school at the University of California, Berkeley. His dad graduated with a Ph.D. in material science and worked in the exploration labs of IBM and General Electric, creating more than 69 licenses in his profession. His mom graduated with a graduate degree in measurements and later turned into an artist.While going to state funded school, Yang portrayed being tormented and called racial slurs by colleagues. "Maybe thus, I've constantly invested heavily in identifying with the longshot or little person or lady," he composed. Yang later went to Phillips Exeter Academy, a world class all inclusive school in New Hampshire.

He moved on from Exeter in 1992 and proceeded to go to Brown University,[10] gaining a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in financial aspects. After Brown University, Yang went to Columbia Law School where he earned a Juris Doctor (JD).As of 2018, Yang lives in New York City with his significant other Evelyn and two children. He has spoken about his more seasoned child being mentally unbalanced, saying, "I'm glad for my child and any individual who has somebody on the range in their family feels precisely the same way." Yang goes to the Reformed Church of New Paltz with his family and has distinguished Mark E. Pole as their minister.
