Edward Brown who has now reached at the age of 24 has recently been charged with the reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.

Charges were filed on Wednesday again Brown who was being pursued by the two Chicago police officers killed y the South Shore train on the Southside.

Edward Brown has been charged with the aggravated unlawful use of a weapon as well as the reckless discharge of the firearm. He is scheduled to appear in bond court on Thursday. Brown told to police that he found a pistol in an alley near his home and he just wanted to see if it worked or not.

The fifth District Officers Conrad Gary aged 31 and Eduardo Marmolejo aged 36 were chasing a shooting suspect onto the train tracks on Far South Side at around 6 pm on Monday. Both the police officers were hit by a passing train near 103^rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue.

According to the body camera footage, both of the officers were avoiding the path of one train in front of them. But, they never saw a South Shore locomotive that was coming up from behind.

According to the timeline of events, both the officers were on track for one a few minutes before hitting by the train.

Brown was then taken into the custody by other officers near 103^rd Street and Cottage Grove.he allegedly said to the officers that he had fired the weapon into the air.

Edward resides near the scene in Far South Side Rosemoor neighborhood. Despite his mother and brother did not want to speak, his neighbor said that Brown has lived with his mom for his whole life and went to a good school. The police also said that he has no any criminal history.
